What it is
Complex Society Video Publisher is an internal software tool operated by Complex Society. It is used only by our own team to publish and manage original short educational videos on YouTube channels that Complex Society owns and operates. It has no public interface and is not offered, sold or licensed to anyone outside our company.
How it uses YouTube API Services
- Uploads our own original videos and sets their titles and descriptions.
- Reads basic statistics (such as views and likes) of our own videos and channels.
- Reads and replies to comments posted on our own videos.
Access is authorized only by our own channel accounts through Google OAuth. The tool does not access any other user's account or channel.
Data we collect, store and share
The tool processes only data related to our own channels: our videos, their statistics, and public comments on our videos. Statistics are kept in internal logs for content planning. Comment text is used only to write replies on our own videos. We do not sell, share or transfer any YouTube data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. OAuth tokens are stored securely on our own server and can be revoked at any time from the Google account security settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).
Data retention and deletion
- Public statistics of our own videos (such as view, like and comment counts) are kept for up to 36 months, then deleted.
- Other YouTube data, such as comment text, is not stored beyond 30 days; it is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
- When access is revoked or the tool is retired, all stored YouTube data and OAuth tokens are deleted within 30 days.
- To request deletion of any data, contact info@complex-society.com. Access can also be revoked at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
